Arlene Thacker Phillips, 62, of Chase City, died October 14, 2009. She was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens, and was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Bruce Phillips. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gene Phillips, sons, Eugene Phillips of South Hill, David Phillips of Richmond, daughter, Christy Burton of Chase City, brothers, Roy Thacker of Alberta, Jimmy Thacker of Brodnax, sisters, Cora Lee Yeatts of Alberta, Lois Smith of Victoria, Marie Nunnley of Jarrett, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. The family will recieve friends at the home at all times. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Plantersville United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev.
