Mrs. Mary Stuart Furr, 70, of South Hill and formerly of Nokesville, was called home to glory on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. She was self employed and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews on the Stuart side of her family, along with grandsons, daughters-in-law, brother-in-law and wife on her extended side, plus many loving friends, neighbors, and caregivers. She was predeceased by her husband Carroll F. Furr, Jr., her brother, Leo, two sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law on her extended side of the family. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Midland Cemetery, Midland, Virginia with the Rev. Jeaux Simmons officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Halifax Regional Hospice, 2204 Wilborn Avenue, South Boston, VA 24592. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, served the family.
