Mrs. Fannie Woodson Simmons, 89, of Chase City, died November 5, 2009. She was retired from Craddock-Terry Shoe Corp. and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Inge and is survived by her daughter, Gail Mears of LaCrosse, sisters, Isabelle Cabiness, Gladys Fulp, June Woodson, brother, Dennis Woodson, all of Chase City, six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday at Wood Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery.
