Mrs. Alice Owen Robertson, 80, of Chase City, died December 23, 2009. She was the widow of Herbert Robertson. Mrs. Robertson was a retired employee of Wachovia Bank, a longtime member of First Baptist Church and a member of Chase City Lioness Club. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Patricia Robertson of Mechanicsville, Lynwood and Carol Robertson of Dry Fork, sisters, Verna Owen of Altavista, Jeanette Stevens and husband, Billy of Altavista, grandchildren, Greta Atkins and husband, Mike of King William, Katie Pruitt and husband, Desmond of Danville, Kara Robertson of Washington, DC, great grandchildren, Rebecca Blake Pruitt, Nora Katherine Pruitt, and Mason Edward Atkins. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Burris and the Rev. Brandon Ives officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Woodland Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Chase City Rescue Squad, PO Box 81, Chase City, VA 23924. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City, is serving the family.
