Mrs. Ethel Bugg Harris, 91, of Chase City, died January 5, 2010. She was a retired employee of Leggett Department Store in Chase City and a long time member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Oscar Leo Harris and is survived by her brothers, Pickett Bugg of Hampton, Whitney Bugg and wife, Nora of Chase City, Sam Bugg and wife, Helen of Clarksville, 11 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Service with the Rev. Jeffery Clemens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 305 N Marshall St., Chase City, VA 23924.
