I am celebrating the life of my beloved father, Major (retired) Marion S. Meigs. In the spirit of our Cherokee ancestors, fly high, fly free. My father and mother, Ida Dolores Meigs (deceased 2001)taught me to look upon the heart (the soul) of a person. So, do not weep in sorrow, but rejoice in a soul set free. Safely Home: I am home, dear ones. Oh, so happy and so bright. There is perfect joy and beauty, in this everlasting light. The road was rough, the hills were hard to climb. The Saviour gently closed my eyes and whispered, "Peace be Thine". My every day, my hours of pain, my long, long nights are past. My ever patient worn out frame has found sweet peace at last. All my pain and grief is over now, every restless tossing is past. I am at Peace, forever now. I am safely home, my spirit is free at last. I love you Daddy. See you in the spirit!

In remembrance of Marion Samuel Meigs - I did not have the honor of meeting my uncle before he passed, but through loving stories from my Mom, Velma DeSilva, he was a great man of honor. He put lots of smiles on Mom's face and for this I'm ever so grateful. May the Lord comfort each of us and give us His peace. God Bless Us All
