Joseph Thomas Cash, Jr., 77, of Chase City, died March 28, 2010. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of American Legion Post #43 and a retired employee of Jonbil. He was the widower of Sarah Nicholson Cash and is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Stone and Dean Welch of Chase City, grandson, Joshua Scott Lanyon of Chase City. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Bradshaw officiating. American Legion Post #43 will present military honors. The family will receive friends at the home at all times. Memorials may be made to Chase City Rescue Squad, PO Box 81, Chase City, VA 23924. Wood Funeral Service is serving the family.
