I am sorry for your loss.....I will remember her kindness towards me and her "dressing" for every holiday!!! She always had jewelry or an outfit appropriate and I looked forward to seeing it!!!...She always listened to me and she thought it was especially funny that my bird would call my cat "kitty, kitty". I know she had a cat and I hope it has a good home. It will be very strange going in on Monday and not seeing her get out of her red Camaro and pulling in her "stuff". Mrs.Thorpe was the best teacher EVER hands down. sometimes when we had free time in class she would stand to the front and we would teach her the latest dances. and she wasnt a teacher that didnt care; whenever there was a problem Mrs.Thorpe would pull you to the side and see whats wrong. this is a class i look forward too. i honestly dont know what im going to without her. she is gone but [ N E V E R ] forgotten. & she`s forever missed and loved.*

Ms. Thorpe was a very nice teacher who looked out for me one day not too long ago. A bunch of boys had run by the girls' bathroom, when I was just about to enter. Ms. Thorpe wouldn't let me enter because she said that one of the boys could have been in there so she went inside the bathroom and checked for me to make sure there were no boys. I thought that was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for me. I loved Ms.Thorpe very much. I also treated her with much respect. I miss her. Thank you so much and my prayers are with you.

We are sorry to hear about the death of Ms.Thorpe. We have alot of fond memories about Ms.Thorpe. Ms.Thorpe always had a smile on her face and enjoyed her at P.S. Jones Middle School while she was teaching. Ms.Thorpe will be sadly missed. Ms.Thorpe could always be counted on for a smile and a kind word. She and I always had smiles for one another and also words of ecouragment. "Trust in the LORD and he will always comfort your heart." I got to know Ms.Thorpe over the summer while she was working to help advanced students to learn more about science. Ms.Thorpe was very Knowledgable. While we are mourning the lost of Ms.Thorpe, others are rejocing to meet Ms.Thorpe behind the veil. We will miss Ms.Thorpe truley. We share your grief and our prayers are with you. May god grant you peace and comfort. With all our sypathy Patrick.I hope you like this poem i am going to leave you. I also hope it will encourage you to continue moving foward know one of your loved one is gone.
I walked away that morning, without a backward glance,
I didn't know that moment was going to be our last.
The last time I would see you or see your lovely face,So solid and so real,so vibrant and alive,
A happy face with twinkling eyes The shattered remnant of my heart is strangely beating still,
with holes so black and fathomless no light could ever fill.
I don't know how I face each day without my darling friend.
Gone is all the happiness, the love of life, the joy.
The years stretch on before me, so bleak and dark and long,
I pray you walk beside me,my friend, and help to keep me strong.
And when my life is over, come to me on that day,
and smile at me and hold me tight and carry me away.the wind that whispers through the trees, the brightest star at night,
a rainbow on a dismal day, a shaft of golden light,
All these are signs you send to me, a message from above,
that even death can't break the bonds of friends and friends Love...

To the family of Ms. Barbara Thorpe
It was my privilege and pleasure to know Barbara on a personal and professional level. She was a warm, caring, loving person who always had a smile and a positive word.
She always thanked me whenever I visited her classroom to help with some computer problem and vowed to learn from me the tricks of being computer "savvy".
Her love and concern for her students was evident in the long hours she spent here at after hours preparing for her classes. She went above and beyond to meet the needs of her students.
I will especially miss seeing her drive up in the morning in the Red Camaro -- there was something snazzy about Ms. Thorpe and her red "camaro".
I miss her already as I know you all do. Heaven is smiling because another angel has joined the heavenly choir. May God continue to grant peace unto you as you move through this hard place in your life.
