Mrs. Nellie Lacks Phillips Jackson, 78, of Drakes Branch, died May 23, 2010. She was the widow of Tom Phillips and Jessie T. Jackson and was preceded in death by a grandson, W. J. Phillips. She was a member of Salem Christian Church and is survived by her children, Thomas Ray Phillips of Martinsville, Peggy P. Dunaway, Steve A. Phillips, and Maggie P. Lynch, all of Keysville, brothers, Harvey Lacks of Drakes Branch and Paul Lacks of Blackstone, grandchildren, Renae Powell and Thomas H. Dunaway of Keysville, great grandchild, Katelyn Powell. The family will receive friends at Wood Funeral Service Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.
