Christine Guthrie Rutledge, 76, of Chase City and formerly of Red Oak, passed away June 29, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Henry “Tom” Rutledge and was a retired employee with Russell Stover Candies. She is survived by a son, Michael S. Rutledge of Red Oak, daughter and son-in-law, Nadine and Eddie Seamans of Chase City, grandchildren, Sabrina Jordan and husband Timmy, of Chase City, Holly and Chris Rutledge of Clover, great grandchildren, Jasmine Jordan of Chase City, Zane Rutledge of Clover, sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Wendell Brown of Fairfax, brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Irene Guthrie of High Point, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Service with the Rev. Jason Hay officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
