James Garland Jones

James Garland “Jim” Jones, 84, of Skipwith, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019.  Jim was a US Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 43, a retired farmer, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Mark Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 9, at New Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 2526 New Hope Road, Skipwith, VA 23968, or Chase City Rescue Squad, P.O.
