Natalie and her husband Burl. R. Minter, settled with their family of six children in El Paso, TX after he retired out of Ft. Bliss after 26 years of service in the U S Army. They lived in Northeast El Paso and their children attended and graduated from Irvin High School. After serving in the U S Army, Burl R. Minter was employed by Wells Fargo until he passed away in 1990. Natalie worked for Ysleta Independent School district at Desert Aire Elementary, Parkland Middle School and Hanks High School. After retiring from Ysleta School District, she lived in her home of forty years on Montgomery Street in northeast El Paso and traveled visiting her family around the country. Natalie moved out of a nursing home in El Paso, TX to Chase City, VA in the last year of her life so her daughter, Susan Gace could leave work and take care of her in her own home. Natalie did not want a funeral and made it clear she wanted donations made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital  in Memphis, TN in lieu of flowers or cards, on behalf of her two deceased grandchildren, Raymond and Kelly.
