David Ray Jackson, 58, of Victoria, died January 26, 2017. He was a retired lieutenant with the Virginia Department of Corrections and a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Jesse and Lucille Jackson and also preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Jackson and nephews, Jesse Jackson and Scotty Lawson. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Melissa Jackson, daughters, Samantha Throckmorton and husband, Brent, Sabrina Jackson, brothers, Paul Jackson and wife, Christy, Nelson Jackson, sister-in-law, Donishia Horner, brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Brenda Lawson, nephews, Patrick Jackson, Chris Jackson, Scott Jackson, Tommy Lawson, Jr., Eddie Lawson, nieces, Raven Jackson and Kristen Horner. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 Saturday evening at Wood Funeral Service. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Davis officiating.
