Briana Hope Bugg, age 17, of South Hill departed this life on September 3, 2017. She was the daughter of Glenn and Tracy Bugg, and a Senior at Park View High School. Briana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Whitney and Nora Bugg of Chase City, Va. and LTC Leon and Joan Hope of Kernersville, NC. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Sean Patrick Bugg, and a sister, Meghann Whitney Bugg, aunts and uncles, Ricky Bugg, Nancy Hope, Bruce Hope, Tim Hope and (Cindi), Jeff Hope (Allison), and Chris Hope (Susan), cousins, Kathleen Robins, Molly Hope, Riley Hope, Andrew Hope, Colleen Hope, Bryce Hope, and Scott Hope, and many loving friends. Briana was a member of the Band, Key Club, and the softball and volleyball teams at Park View and was to serve as Beta Club president this school year. She was a member of the United Methodist Youth Fellowship and previously was a member of the Children’s Theatre of South Hill. Briana touched many with her love, kindness, and humor through the years, and she will be sorely missed by those who were her family, teammates, coaches, and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, at South Hill United Methodist Church at the corner of N. Mecklenburg Avenue and Franklin Street.  The service will also be live streamed from the Chapel of South Hill United Methodist Church, or buy logging on to www. livestream.com/VAUMC/brianabugg. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.  The family requests that those desiring to make donations consider one of the following organizations: Park View Beta, volleyball, softball or Band, 205 Park View Circle, South Hill, VA 23970, the Children’s Theater of South Hill, 1222 Valley Road, South Hill, VA 23970, Halifax County EMS, 73 Industrial Dr, Halifax, NC 27839, Southside Rescue Squad, 810 W.
