Brenda Ann Harris Reese, daughter of Doris Jones Hutchins and Ray Harris, departed this life at VCU Hospital in South Hill, VA on Tuesday, January the 12^th 2021. Brenda, Mema/Ma, as she was affectionately known, was born in Mecklenburg County, VA and later joined the church of God in Chase City, VA at an early age. She attended Bluestone High School. She was a school bus driver, a job which she loved greatly, before becoming to ill to continue. She met and later married and to this union one daughter was born, “Cynthia D.” She spent her days watching crime shows, The Walking Dead, and Doctor Who with her granddaughter Briana, discussing life with her daughter Cynthia, and drinking early morning coffee with her great granddaughter Asharie. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Wayne. Grandchildren, Briana (Uska) of the home, Brittany (Asharie, Aaliyah, Alexio) and Quinton (Tristin). Three sisters, Diane, Linda (Bobby), and Mary (Hurshel), and sister in law Janice. Two brothers, Clinton (Mary-Lee) and Mike. Also cherishing her memory is a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. She preceded in death by her mother Doris, and her brother Bubby. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 11:00 am at Woodland Cemetery.
