My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Susan was always so full of life. Her smile and cheerful demeanor would light up any room. She was a hoot to talk to and always looked beautiful.

Angela, you are and always will be her proudest moment. I remember working at CMH with Susan and summer Saturdays at Rudd' s creek or Stanton River Park. Lawn chairs and baby oil!! Good times will always be awesome memories. Stay strong knowing how much you and your son Cody meant to her. Carl was a special light in her life as well. I sure she is entertaining someone as she sits on her star watching over all of us. She was a special breed. Love to all of you.!! Mona Ezell

Angela. I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I met here years ago when we lived next door to your Flynn grandparents in Troy VA. She was such a friendly, wonderful person. The picture you chose for the obituary is beautiful. Just like I remember her

As a child I can remember always being excited to see Susan and Angela visit us! Susan drove a beautiful Cobra Mustang and I would watch through the windows of our house in Shelby, N.C. just waiting to see that mustang pull in our driveway. Susan is my cousin and she and my mama where the same age and Angela is my age. The most I ever seen my mama laugh was when Susan was visiting! She will be missed!!! Angela, my family and I are praying for you all! If y'all need anything at all please call!

Our condolences to Carl and the family. Susan possessed the personality that everyone envied. She was a dedicated employee, and a great representative of her employer. She literally lit the room when she entered, and brightened everyone's day . A loss to humanity and to society.

Thinking of you all. May God give you comfort and understanding. Susan and I had fun working nights as telephone operators in the 1970’s. I don’t like pumpkin pie, however we worked Thanksgiving and Susan brought me a piece Mrs. Hall had made and it was delicious. We ate some pretty good food made by her Mama and my aunts and stepmother. Will never forget her. Blessings Betsy
