Euland Bliss Hoyle, Jr. passed away at the age of 72 on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Euland was a native of Chase City and returned to raise his family after serving in the army. He had a lifetime career as a mechanic and retired from Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative.

During his retired years, he enjoyed being on the go with his wife, visiting army buddies, and developed his interest in woodturning. His beautiful bowls, peppermills, mirrors, lamps, and many other custom wood designs demonstrated his phenomenal talent, artistry, and creativity. He loved living in the community, supporting Black Branch Baptist Church, working with the land and wildlife, and valued doing what was right.  He spent a lot of his time and enjoyed helping family, friends, and pretty much anyone who needed it. He had most recently enjoyed connecting with the newer generation of great-nephews and cousins. Euland is loved and will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his father Euland Bliss Hoyle, Sr., his mother, Doris Garren Hoyle, and his sister, Elizabeth Hudson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia, two daughters Kimberly Gregory (Jim) of Pueblo, CO and Lori Hoyle (Greg Moore) of Chase City, VA.  Also survived by grandchildren Ethan Gregory and Cecelia Gregory, his sister Evelyn Toler (Ernest) of Richmond, VA ,  and nephews Andy Toler of Richmond, VA and Rodney Hudson (Dolores) of Buffalo Jct., VA and his family.

Private graveside services will be held at Black Branch cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Cox Rd 130, Glen Allen, VA 23060. www.alz.org  or another charity of your choice. Condolences may be expressed at www.woodfuneralservice.com.
