Jody B. Upton, Jr “BJ”, age 27 of Boydton passed away February 16, 2022. B.J. was employed by Green Acres Lawn and Landscaping and a member of the Dynasty Hunt Club. Surviving are his father Jody Upton Sr. and wife Jean; mother Danielle Mell and husband Daniel; son Brayden Upton and his mother Crystal Hines; brothers Johnathan Upton, Tyler Mell, Nick Mell; sisters Jordan Wallen, Alisha Biedenbender Stephanie Mell, Destini Brooks; girlfriend Nikki Allman; niece, Cheyenne Wallen; paternal grandmother Betty Upton; maternal grandparents Bill and Wendy Galloway, Dan and Connie Taylor, and Nancy Mell. Services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, 10228 Buggs Island Rd. Baskerville Va. with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until service time.
