Donna Jean Hill, 70, of Chase City, passed away to her heavenly home on May 7, 2022. Her parents, Margaret “Marge” Creed and John Ganley joyfully welcomed her upon her arrival.

She continues to live in the hearts of her husband of 44 years, Bill, and two daughters, Kristen Stone (Jerry) of Chesterfield, and Heather Florence (Jamar) of Virgilina. She will shine forever in her four grandchildren: William Hill of Chase City, James Farmer of Virgilina, and Jerry (JJ) and Finley Stone of Chesterfield. She will also remain in the hearts of approximately 1,436 bonus children and grandchildren, mostly from her 17 years as a Special Education and Pre-K paraprofessional at Chase City Elementary School.

She will always be remembered and loved by Nikki Medina and the entire Pre-K Crew of Chase City Elementary, whom she always considered to be part of her family.

Often labeled as a “tough cookie,” Donna left a lasting impression on all who knew her across her 30 years as a resident of Drapersville, Virginia.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 12 at Wood Funeral Service in Chase City. A visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a short service following. A second visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a short service following. A candlelight graveside vigil will follow the evening service at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.

Flowers are welcome, but donations in Donna’s memory can be made to the Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University (https://www.masseycancercenter.org/how-you-can-help/ways-to-give).
Wood Funeral Service is serving the family. Condolences may be expressed at www.woodfuneralservice.com.
