Mary Alice Whitlow age 74, of Chase City parted from her earthly body on January 2, 2024. She was the best person to any and every one she encountered. Mary had an enormous heart with a lot of love to give and her family was her main priority. Surviving is her sister, Doris “Dot” Hazelwood, 2 children Christy Robinette and Hugh Whitlow Jr. “Bug” (Christie Bigger), and one adopted child Tiffany Lynch. Her grandchildren Shannon Whitlow (Gabrielle), Jamie Robinette (Lillian), Michael Robinette, Kristin Whitlow, Stephanie Cannon, and Katie Lynch; great grandchildren “Granny’s Babies” Kingston Crawley, Riley Montealegre, LeeAna Robinette, and one adopted great grandchild, Alissa Andrews. Mary was proceeded in death by her parents Annie and Major Powell, her 2 brothers Gene and Roger Powell (Doris), her husband Hugh Whitlow Sr., her special long term friend Hannie Brown, and one son-in-law Gerald Robinette Jr. The family would also like to give a special thanks to John and Ellen Watson for helping us care for her and staying by her side. She loved and appreciated everyone close to her, that was one of the biggest things that made her who she was.
