Mildred Grace Brown Tuck Bell of Clarksville passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025.  Mildred was born on December 6, 1926 to Roy and Sarah Weston Brown on the Brown homeplace in Jeffress, Mecklenburg County.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Luther Franklin Tuck; daughter, Patricia Overby and grandson, Michael Craig Keeton.  Mildred is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Dean Carliles and Robin and Winston Cooper both of Clarksville.  She is also survived by a special friend, Kenneth Martin of Halifax.

Mildred worked hard all of her life retiring to take care of Frank, her husband of 55 years.  Mildred was a lifetime member of Jeffress Baptist Church.  She loved going to the Ruritans on Friday night to dance and socialize, taking weekend road trips and she loved her word search puzzles.  She also loved her fur babies Spice, Luke and Patsy.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, May 26, 2025 by Pastor Dennis Hoblitz at Oakhurst Mausoleum in Clarksville.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Blue Horse Mukwa Rescue Center, 25859 VA-49, Chase City, VA 23924.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health and Hospice for helping them through this difficult journey.  A special thank you to Barbara and Mary for their loving and devoted care.
