Mr. Raymond C. “Woody” Wood, age 76, of Chase City passed away May 27, 2013. He was the Vice-President of Wood Funeral Service, a member of Concord Baptist Church, a Lifetime member of the Chase City Vol. Fire Dept. Woody was also an avid golfer and a huge fan of University of Virginia athletics. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Charlotte Wood, his sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Terri Wood of Brentwood Tenn. and Glenn and Tina Wood of Chase City, his brother, Aubrey Wood and wife Thelma, of Chase City, granddaughters, Leslie Wood, Meredith Boggs, and husband, Justin, Erin Wood, Jordan Wood, Caroline Wood, and Paige Wood. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Service. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Woodland Cemetery, with Rev. Gene Burris and Rev.
