Tyler Reese, age 31, of Chase City, passed away August 21, 2018. He was an educator and coach with Mecklenburg County Public Schools and a member of the Mecklenburg Baptist Church. Tyler was an avid softball player, having won 10 State and National Championships. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Reese, mother, Juanita Reese Carlton and husband, Bobby, sisters, Shelby Garrett and husband, Todd, Terri Pennell, grandmother, Charlotte Reese, father and mother-in-law, Roger and Carolyn Shearin, sister- in- law, Abbey Shearin brother- in- law, Matthew Shearin, nephews, Bryce Garrett, Brayden Garrett, Cambden Hadley, Aidan Hadley, Ashton Lewis, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends Friday 6:00-8:00 PM at Wood Funeral Service. Services will be held Saturday, August 25 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Smith and Rev. Jason Hay officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
