David Allen Trent, age 61, of Chase City passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025. He had a very versatile set of skills and interests. He could fix anything from cars to computers. Elton John, Donna Summer, Alan or Michael Jackson, Queen, and Lady Gaga were among his favorites. He explored many genres, as long as it made him want to dance he loved it. He enjoyed walking Oreo on the beach while visiting Debra. Antiques and collectables brought him pure joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents David Earl and Nancy Dunn Trent.

David is survived by his dedicated fiancé, Jermaine Buchanan; sisters, Debra Trent, Rita Hayes, and Lisa Trent; a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held at Wood Funeral Chapel 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Although David’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
